Hi, I'm Colby Coles. I'm an Idaho boy, born and raised, and I write stories about the strange, the wonderful, and the horrific.
I've always found horror blends so well with fantasy and other speculative fiction, and I find it incredibly useful when exploring what might survive when characters are pushed to their breaking points and beyond.

What is the berkeley archive?

While clearing out my grandpa’s storage unit, I found a strange box filled with unpublished manuscripts, artifacts, and notes belonging to someone named "Rick Berkeley."The thing is, nobody in my family knows who "Rick Berkeley" is...Most of his stories are in bad shape, several aren’t even finished, and a few probably shouldn’t have even been written in the first place.And yet, I can't stop thinking about them...I'm working diligently to restore, rewrite, and publish as many of the stories from this strange Archive as I can. Perhaps, along the way, I'll be able to make sense of the man who wrote them before I'm consumed by the darkness lurking within.
